Maya Academy of Sewing started in 2016 with a clear vision to empower women and girls in Jordan by teaching the art of sewing and transforming it into a source of creativity and a way of income from the very beginning the academy was not just a place to learn skills but a supportive community that brings together creativity learning and encouragement the passion of the founders was to spread sewing as more than a profession but as an art that allows every woman to express her personality and ideas through fabric and thread this passion shaped the way training programs were built because every program is focused on practice and direct results from day one
Shaping Tomorrow's Innovators Through Progressive Learning
In 2019 the academy expanded its impact by cooperating with Islamic Languages Association and offered specialized courses to women to help them build confidence and create opportunities in 2020 the academy partnered with Care International and delivered practical training within economic and social empowerment initiatives for women this partnership gave the academy strong reputation and created new doors for future cooperation

The academy also worked with several Jordanian universities to deliver workshops that introduced students to sewing and fashion design as an opportunity for their careers and lives this variety of activities gave the academy broad experience and recognition in both community and academic fields
